No One is Left Behind

Meta Knight has learned a lot of things through his adventures. Learning is a constant; no knight is ever perfect, and a warrior who stops learning is as good as dead. So he observes as he fights, and carry his lessons with him. One of the most important lessons is to never assume an enemy is dead unless one sees the body. He orders the Halberd to go after the Dream Star. He can feel his ship creaking as it moves through space. It’s warried after battle. But it follows his commands and flies back to the battleground. There are still remnants of the explosion that happened mere minutes ago. The emptiness has become a sea of shrapnel.

The Tragedy of Monsters

Sometimes she was able to completely forget the cruel pain That rattled against her like a constant beating drum It stung with a vengeance spiked with love It would never leave her to herself That would have been too easy Love was never that kind If only then maybe Maybe then she Would find Peace Sometimes he would remember the sharp edges of his love It was almost impossible to forget the many scars He would create hateful marks wanting to say The sacred words everyone wanted to hear But the words were always trapped And every time he tried To say those words "I love you" He instead Scarred There were moments where she coul

Ib: Siblings Together Ending

"Fabricated World" flashed once, and Garry closed his eyes out of instinct. When he opened them again the frame was gone. "Ib, look! The frame…!" he said. "Now may be our chance!" He wanted to jump. He wanted to run and become a part of the world on the other side of the canvas. Above all, he wanted to go beyond this world and protect the girl who was clutching his hand. But there was another obligation that he had to fulfill. "Here, let’s get you up there safely." He leaned over and picked Ib up. The girl let out a startled cry. "We can’t have you tripping-" "Ib?" Ib’s head quickly turned to the sound of the voice. G

Stoic

Even when facing the woman who had ran away from him years ago, the man was still stoic. It had started with a simple crush. He had entered his first day at the high school, expecting that nothing there would truly interest him. But the mere sight of the girl sitting on the other side of the classroom drew him to her forbidden taste. His physical being was stoic even during those early years of his existence. But he could feel some being or thing awaken within him, coaxing his voice out for the girl. She turned out to be a wild being. Contrasting himself, the girl would burst with wild flavors of emotions. The taste could have been purel

Accident

Ben Daniels froze while looking at the papers in front of him. He then looked up at the man who had placed them in front of him. "Dad, I can't." The man across the desk didn't even flinch at the harshness of the words. "Ben, I have no one else to leave it to. You know that the real estate agents would rather give up their jobs than handle the house-" "You know why. The house is haunted." The soldier-turned-spy kept his tone even, but the emphasis of the last word could easily be heard. "Ben-" "You lied to me about that, Dad. I remember it. How else did all those women die? Just one accident after another that leaves all the victims dead i

Dying Lullaby Chapter 15: Ghosts

October 15, 2:16 PM Remains of Gotham Dear Cassandra, I wish that this letter could be without these final instructions. But I am afraid. There are moments, even now, where I doubt myself and what I am about to do. I do honestly believe that I would have made these same exact choices had I survived that night. I would not have allowed the Justice League to get away with killing my family. But I am certain that part of this rage is not my own. I fear that the soul fragments have affected us more than we thought. As of this moment, the soul fragments are keeping us alive and giving us our powers. Gotham had said herself that she believes t

Lying Truths Ch 7

The room was silent. Part of the oppressive air found fault with the younger of the brothers, carrying the weight of the dead. The burden was from his own choice, as years have already given the man experience on how to deal with such things. Any misconceptions that he ever had were hidden from the world. He would rather keep them in secret than a lie. Lies frowned at the thought of his own reaction to the events. The thought of revenge no longer had the flavor he once imagined it to have. The results were also pushing against him: he could not help but question his own ideals. It would not have been the first time it had happened in his life

The Covenant Seal Ch 3

The days still blended in Fenton's mind. But there was something else present… something else that hid in his shadows, whispering numbers that decreased as time slipped by. It had some hidden comfort that called to him, but of course, he couldn't identify. He straightened his bowtie as he looked in the mirror, trying to figure out why he had agreed to go in the first place. "You don't have to go, Mr. Hardy," Chet said from outside the room. "I mean, we're obligated and all, but you're not." "I might as well. This is supposed to be a big thing over here." The thing in question was a grand dance/get together that was hosted by a wealthy

First Impressions Part 3

>6 months later Sherlock Holmes, the world’s only consulting detective, was pacing in his flat. The papers around him had either flown away at his impending steps or were being crushed over and over again. The sounds of the crunching pages were all that filled the room as thoughts exploded in his head. His mind palace, while being as close to perfect as he could get it to be, was not yet at the level where he could solve all of his problems. Sometimes, he had to rely upon pacing to bring enough oxygen to his brain to work at full capacity. (it can never be the same again)                     The thoughts were jumping, but none of th

Hidden Secrets Ch 3

Restarting ~Atem I followed Sakhmet to a room hidden within the castle. The faint sounds of the battle ending slowly disappeared from me, as I watch the corridors twist and turn. “Where are we going?” “You’ll see.” Her voice was still emotionless, something I was finding hard to get use to. She finally paused in front of a massive painting hanging on the wall. I stopped next to her, wondering what she was plotting. “The book in the painting is able to rewrite history,” she said softly. “It can change anything with just a few pen strokes. The Council hid it away so it wouldn’t be used against
